Where is the office located?

7750 N. Union Boulevard, Suite 202, Colorado Springs, CO 80920 – near the corner of Union and Briargate.

Where do I park?

There is a parking lot in front of the office building.

Is your office handicapped-accessible?

No.

What are your office hours?

Face-to-face: Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 8:30 – 2:30

How long is a typical session?

Most of my sessions run just under one hour.

What do I do to get started?

If you call or email the office, we can do a telephone consultation to begin the process.

What is the hourly fee?

$125 – $150/session

How do I pay?

Either insurance or credit card

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. I accept Tricare, Cigna, and United Healthcare.

Can you help me file my insurance?

Once I have your information, I will file claims with any of the insurances I currently take.

How do I make an appointment?

Call or email for availability.

Are there other things I should know about your office?

I share office space with Mindful Springs Counseling.

Can I cancel an appointment? Do you have a cancellation policy?

Up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time with no charge; $50 for a late cancellation fee.

Late adolescent through late adulthood.

Do you work with men?

Yes.

Couples? No.

Are you LGBTQIA friendly?

Do you work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds?

What can I expect in the first session?

We will make sure we are a good fit to work together.

How long will I be in therapy?

That is determined by the two of us once we begin working together.

Does anyone cry in front of you?

Yes.

Do I have to tell you everything?

No.

Who benefits from therapy?

Anyone can benefit from therapy.

Is there anyone you won’t see?

Yes. But I can help you find a suitable therapist if we are not a good fit to work together.

What is EMDR? What is ART?

A method of therapy. There is a page on this site which goes into further detail for each method.

Do you offer video or phone sessions?

Yes.

Is our work confidential?

Yes, within the legal limits of confidentiality.

How long have you been in practice?

I have been in private practice since 2017. I was a therapist in the Army for six years prior to retiring.

What are your strengths as a therapist?

I understand military life and military family life.

What do you enjoy about being a therapist?

I love helping people become emotionally and mentally healthier.

Have you been in therapy yourself?

Yes.

What is your educational background?

I earned my master’s degree in Social Work through Fayetteville State University. I am currently in the process of earning my Doctor of Social Work.

What is the best way to get in touch with you?
Do you prescribe medications?

No.

Are you licensed?

Yes. I am licensed in the States of Colorado and North Carolina.

Do you take notes?

Yes. However, if you ever want to see what I am writing during a session, I will always show you.
